Every trip starts with a conversation. Tell us how you like to travel and we design the days around it: the pace, the food, the people you meet, and the quiet hours in between.
Before and during your trip, a real person answers on WhatsApp or WeChat, day and night.
We'll show you the China we come home to.
Tell us where you'd like to go. We reply within one working day.

Becoming is a licensed travel agency based in Wuhan, at the centre of China. We design private journeys for travellers who want to understand the places they visit, and we run every one of them ourselves, with local guides we know by name.
In Chinese we are 成为, chéng wéi: to become. Most trips are measured in sights. We measure ours in what changes: the first time you order without pointing, the friend you make in a hutong kitchen, the moment a city starts to make sense. You arrive a tourist. We hope you leave a little changed.
Our mark is two points and one line: where you set out, where you arrive, and the arc you travel between them. Everything we do happens on that line.
A view looks the same to everyone. The person who shows it to you does not. We build every journey around the guides, cooks, makers and herders who live there.
Fewer stops, longer stays. We leave room in each day for what cannot be planned: a conversation, a detour, a second pot of tea.
A licensed agency, insured on every trip, with an itemised price before you book. No shopping stops, no commission detours, no surprises.
